In einem Video der amerikanischen Nachrichtensendung ABC 7 News zur "America's Beauty Show", die letztes Wochenende statt gefunden hat, wird CND Shellac als neue Revulotion im Manikürbereich angekündigt. Shellac soll ein Hybrid aus Gel und Lack sein und 2 Wochen ohne splittern, abblättern oder sog. Tip Wear halten und in der UV-Lampe ausgehärtet werden.

Hört sich sehr spannend an, oder?
Mir persönlich gefallen nur die dort gezeigten Farben weniger, da das dem 08/15 Nagellack-Farbspektrum entspricht, wie wir sie schon seit 20 Jahren in Nagelstudios und Drogeriemärkten sehen. Aber vielleicht kann man auf Saisons-Collections mit schicken Modefarben hoffen, CND ist da ja immer recht einfallsreich.
Sucht man im Netz und bei Youtube weiter finden wir ein wenig aussagekräftiges Video der American Beauty Show vom CND-Stand sowie die ebenfalls noch sehr vage gehaltene

Auf der Nagellackfanseite all lacquered up werden wir dann fündig! Ein Nagellackfan hat Shellac getestet. Was sie sagt, könnt ihr hier nachlesen:

Die Haltbarkeit scheint sich zu bestätigen, nach 14 Tagen ist minimale Tip Wear und natürlich etwas Rauswuchs zu entdecken. Sie bestätigt jedoch auch meine Anmerkung mit den wenig einfallsreichen Farben.
Shellac wird laut CND weltweit im Mai auf den Markt kommen.
Dann wird es für uns Naildesigner spannend was den Preis und die Verfügbarkeit angeht und ob das Produkt wirklich hält was es verspricht.
Mein Fazit bis hier hin: Ich bin gespannt!
Jedoch auch noch ein wenig skeptisch: Lichthärtender Lack ist keine völlige Neuerung auf dem Markt, farblos ist er in vielen Studios schon lange zu Hause und in Verbindung mit normalen Lack im Einsatz. CND-Systeme wurden schon mehrmals als das absolute Novum eingeführt, haben sich im Nachhinein dann aber als "alter Wein in neuen Schläuchen" herrausgestellt.
Wie haltbar ist es wirklich, vorallem wenn Buffer und Dehydrator - essenzielle Teile einer Maniküre mit Lackierung - nicht verwendet werden sollen?
Ich werde das Thema auf jeden Fall weiter verfolgen und euch auf dem Laufenden halten!
